Lightning strikes at Taal Volcano
A netizen recorded lightning striking Taal Volcano while it spewed ash and rocks last Sunday, january 12, 2020. This incident brought panic to the residents and individuals who saw the video.

PAGASA Weather Forecaster Meno Mendoza explained the phenomenon in Panahon TV’s 5:00 a.m. broadcast. “Ang mga volcanic lightning na ‘yan, ay dahil sa pagbabanggaan ng particles na nanggaling sa bulkan. Dahil sa banggaan na ‘yan, nagkaroon ng tinatawag na static electricity na siyang nag-produce ng volcanic lightning.”
