What Weather to Expect on the First Week of Classes?

As a new academic year begins on the 1st of June for the public schools nationwide, PAGASA releases a special weather outlook detailing the conditions expected this week.

According to the weather bureau, the Philippines will experience warm and humid weather conditions. Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening is also expected.

During the month of June, the country has an average of 2-3 tropical cyclones that enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility. This week, PAGASA states that no bagyo is expected to develop or enter PAR.

Said outlook will be updated as soon as significant weather changes occur. Everyone is advised to monitor the weather via Panahon TV social media accounts for real-time updates.

As your kids gear up for the first day of classes on June 1, make sure to pack an umbrella or a rain gear just in case a thunderstorm form in your area. Remind the children to drink lots of water as well to counter the heat in the morning and avoid dehydration.
