Cleaning your car after ashfall

Due to Taal Volcano’s ashfall, several public and private vehicles have been covered by thick ash. Toni Del, one of Panahon TV’s followers, shared several photos of his car after he traveled from Calamba, Laguna to Sucat, Parañaque.

Here are some guidelines in cleaning your car after ashfall:

  1. Wear facemask and raincoat when cleaning the car.
  2. Wash vehicle with pressurized water and a PH-neutral solution to prevent scratching the car.
  3. Use a rubber-treatment to clean rubber seals, wiper blades, and tires.
  4. If the car’s engine room is affected, have the engine properly cleaned.
  5. Park in a covered area.
