Shallow LPA spotted outside PAR

Trough of a Low Pressure Area affecting Mindanao which will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Central and Eastern Visayas, CARAGA, Northern Mindanao and Davao Region. Meanwhile, Northeast Monsoon affecting Luzon and will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Aurora and Quezon. In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas, expect a partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by Northeast Monsoon. The rest of Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers will be experienced caused by Localized Thunderstorms

According to PAGASA Weather Forecaster Loriedin Dela Cruz, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) outside Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is shallow and is expected to be gone in 2 to 3 days. Meanwhile, due to the effect of Northeast Monsoon, gale warning is raised over these coastal areas.

 

As the Northeast Monsoon prevails in Luzon, aside from the light rains, it also brings cold breeze on the affected areas. Here’s the list of areas with the lowest temperature as of January 10, 2019.
