The Low Pressure Area (PAR) spotted at 2,450 km east of Mindanao may enter the Philippine Are of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday or Saturday, and is likely to develop into a tropical cyclone. Two scenarios are presented by PAGASA: either it will directly hit Visayas, or may get close to the landmass before recurving.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon (Hanging Amihan), which is cold and dry air from Mainland China or Siberia, still affects Luzon and Visayas. This weather system will bring light rains in Cagayan Valley. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains are expected in Metro Manila, Visayas, and the rest of Luzon. Mindanao can expect fair weather apart from possible rain showers.
