Weather Today – November 14, 2018

At 03:00 a.m. today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was last spotted at 95 km Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and will bring scattered rain showers over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas and Palawan. In Batanes and Babuyan group of island, expect a cloudy skies with light rains caused by Northeast Monsoon. This cold wind will also bring isolated light rains over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley. Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon and of Visayas will experienced isolated rain showers caused by Localized Thunderstorm.

According to PAGASA Weather Forecaster Cris Perez, the LPA near Surigao Del is not expected to develop into a tropical Depression. However, another LPA was spotted outside Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Pacific Ocean and is expected to enter PAR on Sunday or Monday (November 18 and 19). It has no effect in any parts of the country yet since it’s located quite far. Nevertheless, continue monitoring for updates and announcement from PAGASA regarding this weather disturbance.
