Weather Today – October 29, 2018 #YUTUPH

As of 3:00 a.m., Typhoon “Yutu” was last spotted at 2,120 km east of Central Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 180 kph, gustiness of up to 220 kph and is moving west at 20 kph. The typhoon is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow (October 27) and will be called by its local name “Rosita”. According to PAGASA Weather Forecaster Cris Perez, if the typhoon maintains its track, it may make its landfall in either Northern or Central Luzon within 3 to 5 days.

Meanwhile, the Northeasterly Wind Flow affects Northern Luzon, bringing isolated rain showers in Ilocos Region, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley Region. The rest of the country, including Metro Manila, may expect  partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

No gale warning was issued today.
