Weather Today – October 2, 2018 #QUEENIEPH

The seventeenth Tropical Cyclone this year named #QueeniePH was last spotted at 1,130 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. With maximum sustained winds of up to 200 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 245 kph, it is not expected to hit the landmass. Still, it may bring light to, at times, moderate rains in the eastern section of the country. No Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal was raised elsewhere.

Meanwhile, its trough brings cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in the Cagayan Valley Region, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon. In the remaining parts of the country including Metro Manila, partly cloudy to cloudy skies prevail only with chances of isolated rain showers.

Due to the northeasterly surface wind flow, gale warning is hoisted in some seaboards of Luzon. Fisherfolk and those with small seacraft are advised not to venture out, while larger vessels are alerted against rough to very rough sea conditions.
