At 3:00 a.m. today, the eye of Severe Tropical Storm Yutu outside  the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) was spotted at 2,925 kilometers east of Visayas with maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 130 kph. It is moving west-northwest at 15 kph. PAGASA Weather Forecaster Cris Perez said that although it may get close to the northeastern boundary of PAR on Sunday, it is less likely to hit landmass. 

Today, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to affect Palawan and Mindanao. It will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) , SOCCSKSARGEN, and Davao Region. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.
