LPA, thunderstorms bring rains

Rains prevailed in Metro Manila and nearby areas this Thursday morning because of thunderstorms.

Aside from thunderstorms, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) also brings rains to some parts of the country.

At 3:00 AM today, the LPA was estimated within the vicinity of Natonin, Mountain Province. According to PAGASA Weather Forecaster Chris Perez, the LPA is no longer expected to develop into a tropical cyclone.

In the next hours, cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will still affect the Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative and Cagayan Valley Regions, as well as Aurora.

In the rest of the Luzon including Metro Manila, down to Visayas and Mindanao, partly cloudy to cloudy will prevail with localized thunderstorms.
