River Rosal is an advocate of No Plastics in Nature, and a marketing communications consultant who used to be a columnist for a national daily, but now freelances as an investigative journalist. She started her career as a press release writer for the Department of Agriculture, under the Office of the Secretary in the late 90s. She then transferred to The Philippine Star, and to a few other publications until she became the resident beauty columnist for The Manila Bulletin. At the same time, she also wrote about fashion and lifestyle for the pioneering I-Section of the same publication. She dabbles in broadcast radio production and is currently working on a research paper on the evolution of the FM radio broadcast industry in the Philippines.
