Kathy San Gabriel

Kathy is a veteran broadcast journalist who has a storied experience as a reporter, news anchor, and TV host. She started her career as a reporter and anchor for the Sarimanok News Network or SNN (now ANC). She then transferred to ABS-CBN as anchor for the ABS-CBN News Advisories and a reporter for various beats. She was also the main anchor for state television PTV, anchoring its flagship newscast and special coverages like the SONA. Her major coverages include President Joseph Estada and Chief Justice Renato Corona’s impeachment trials, the State and Apostolic Journey of Pope Francis, the aftermath of Supertyphoon Yolanda in Tacloban City and Leyte, and Typhoon Ondoy. She was also the country’s media delegate to the 6th Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) held in Bangkok, Thailand in June 2014.
