TYPHOON "PAOLO" HAS MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AS IT MOVES NORTH NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA.

Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 1100 km diameter of the Typhoon.

Meanwhile, at 10:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 150 km Northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (10.5°N, 117.6°E). This weather system, along with the outer rainbands of "PAOLO" and the southwesterly windflow enhanced by this Typhoon will bring scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms over Palawan, Bicol region, Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula and ARMM. Residents in these areas are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.

Sea travel remains risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboard of Central and Southern Luzon, the seaboard of Palawan, the western and eastern seaboards of Visayas and the eastern seaboard of Mindanao.

"PAOLO" is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Sunday morning (22 October).

"PAOLO" HAS MAINTAINED ITS STRENGTH AND CONTINUES TO MOVE IN A NORTH NORTHWEST DIRECTION.

Estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 450 km diameter of the Typhoon.

The outer rainbands of "PAOLO" will bring scattered moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Bicol region, Eastern Visayas and Caraga becoming light to moderate rains over the rest of Southern Luzon, of Visayas and of Mindanao. Residents in these areas are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides.
Meanwhile, at 10:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 280 km West of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan (9.7°N, 116.2°E). This weather system will bring scattered light to moderate with possible occasional heavy rains over Palawan.
Sea travel is risky over the eastern seaboard of Visayas and of Mindanao.
